A killer has emerged at a prestigious New York University, the professors are being murdered one by one, and clues are being left in the form of crossword puzzles for the special committee of professors  that was gathered to investigate the crimes. One teacher in particular oversees the collective, as they try to solve the identity of the killer and predict who is next to die.
